Correctly select the electrode and lining material of the electromagnetic flowmeter

Intelligent  electromagnetic flowmeter is based on the norms of the manufacturing  system and the development of its advanced design concept to ensure that  the product of high precision and high reliability, compared with the  old electromagnetic flowmeter, which has high measurement accuracy,  reliability, stability Good, functional, long life and other advantages.

As a commonly used flow measurement instrument, the choice of flowmeter material is also an important factor. In the electromagnetic flowmeter, only part of the electrode and the  measuring tube are in contact with the medium. Therefore, according to  the characteristics of different media, the appropriate electrode and  lining material are selected.

First, the electrode selection

Usually the electrode is divided into the following materials: 1. Stainless steel (0Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti). Applicable to nitric acid, less than 5% at room temperature sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, alkaline solution. 2. Hastelloy. Can be used for seawater, brine. 3. Titanium Applicable  to seawater, various chlorides and hypochlorous hydrochloric acid,  oxidizing acid (including fuming nitric acid), organic acids, alkali and  so on. Tantalum In  addition to hydrofluoric acid, fuming sulfuric acid, alkali other  chemical media, including boiling point of hydrochloric acid, nitric  acid and <175 ℃ sulfuric acid can be used. 5. Platinum Can be used for a variety of acid, alkali, salt, but does not contain aqua regia.

Second, the choice of lining material

How to choose the right lining material. It  must be noted that the lining material should be selected based on the  corrosiveness, abrasion and temperature of the measured medium. Rubber Has  a very good flexibility, a high degree of tearing, wear resistance is  good, resistance to the weak acid weak alkali corrosion, to measure  water, sewage, mud and pulp and so on. 2. Polyurethane. Has  excellent wear resistance, acid, alkali performance is poor, can  measure the strong wear and tear of the coal slurry, mud and pulp. 3. Polytetrafluoroethylene. Resistant to hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid,  concentrated alkali and a variety of organic solvents, wear resistance  is good, poor bonding performance.

The above is the choice of electromagnetic flowmeter material,  different media have different characteristics, do not have to pick the  most expensive, select the appropriate real economic use.
