The remote transmission pressure transmitter is mainly used to prevent the medium in the pipeline from directly entering the pressure sensing component of the transmitter, and the flange and the transmitter are connected by a capillary filled with fluid. It can also communicate with HART handhelds and be set and monitored by the handheld.

SMT3151 Remote pressure transmitters,

are used to measure differential pressure (flow rate, fluid level, etc.) of high-temperature,

or highly corrosive, condensable fluids.

Description of SMT3151 Remote pressure transmitter:


The SMT3151 series remote pressure transmitters,

accurately measures and transmits proportional 4 to 20mAdc signal.

The transmitters utilize the unique micromachined capacitive silicon sensor,

with state-of-the-art microprocessor technology to provide exceptional performance and functionality.


Features of SMT3151 remote pressure transmitter:


1. High accuracy


0.065 % accuracy is a standard feature for differential and gauge pressure models 

and 0.2% accuracy for absolute pressure models. The micro capacitance silicon sensor assures this feature for all elevated,

or suppressed calibration ranges without additional adjustment.


2. Minimum environmental influence


The "Advanced Floating Cell" design,

which protects the pressure sensor against changes in temperature,

and overpressure substantially reduces total measurement error in actual field applications.

In general, it can be measured with normal pressure,

or differential pressure transmitter.

For one of the following situations,

a remote pressure/differential pressure transmitter is required:


◆When the measured medium is taken out by a pressure guiding tube, it is easy to solidify or crystallize;


◆The measured medium contains solid suspended matter,

or is too viscous, which easily blocks the pressure guiding tube;


◆The temperature of the measured medium is too high or corrosive,

which is not conducive to direct measurement;


◆The medium to be tested is food or other medium that needs to be hygienic and cannot be contaminated.


◆The basic measuring components are the same as the technical performance,

and technical specifications of the 3151 pressure/differential pressure transmitter.

After adding the remote transmission device,

there will be a small decrease in the measurement accuracy,

and the reaction speed will be slow,

especially if the capillary exceeds 10 meters and the pressure is relatively small.

In the case of the installation,

pay attention to the installation position,

to ensure that the measured pressure is within the measurement range,

of the basic measuring component.


Application and selection of remote pressure transmitter:


The connection between the remote pressure transmitter,

and the measured media device is as follows:


Threaded, flanged and snap-on (for sanitary systems).


Flange type can be divided into flange type and flat type with lower sleeve;


The remote transmission device can be divided into a threaded type,

a flange type, a flat type, an insert type cylinder and a snap ring type.
